WHEN: September 20th, 2025

Alt(r)o Festival has organized a guided excursion along the “V. Sella” glaciological trail led by Barbara Valle, who will talk about the glacier as an ecosystem and its peculiarities, through its exceptional ecological indicators: the glacier springtails. The walk will follow the story told by the proglacial plain of the Ventina Glacier, up to the viewpoint of the glacier itself and the Little Ice Age moraines, which raise questions about the past and future of these environments and their biodiversity. Participants will also have the chance to observe and search for springtails directly in the field.
